O clemens, o pia, o dulcis Virgo Maria.

Hail, holy queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope, hail. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Therefore, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy turn towards us. And Jesus, the blessed fruit of thy womb, after this our exile show unto us. O clement, o loving, o sweet Virgin Mary.

Loving mother of the Redeemer, thou gate leading to heaven and star of the sea, help the falling people who seek to rise, thou who didst give birth, all nature wondering, to thy holy Creator. Virgin after as before, hearing that greeting from Gabriel’s lips, have mercy on us sinners.

Ave Regina cælorum, ave domina angelorum: salve radix, salve porta, ex qua mundo lux est orta: Gaude Virgo gloriosa, super omnes speciosa, vale o valde decora, et pro nobis Christum exora.

Hail queen of heaven, hail lady of angels: hail thou root, hail thou gate from which the Light of the world was born: Rejoice glorious Virgin, fairest among all, Fare thee well, o most beautiful, and pray for us to Christ.

Regina cæli lætare, alleluia, quia quem meruisti portare, alleluia, resurrexit sicut dixit, alleluia: Ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia.

Queen of heaven, rejoice, alleluia, for he whom thou didst merit to bear, alleluia, has risen as he said, alleluia: Pray for us to God, alleluia.
